The Perfect Location
Otter Brewery sits up high in the Blackdown Hills between Honiton and Taunton on a nineteen-acre site that is in the middle of both a SSSI and an AONB. The thatched farmhouse at the heart of the brewery dates back to 1806 and the water used in production of the beers is drawn directly from the head springs of the River Otter.
What was a derelict farm is now home to a thriving brewery employing up to 40 local people surrounded by an abundance of wildlife and one that is able to naturally treat its own waste water. The aim has always been to produce commercially viable beers that are full of integrity, provenance, real character and that are produced in an environmentally friendly way. What we take out, we must responsibly put back.
