Otters aren't normally found in war zones! But when Stephen Elrod, a Captain in the United States Air Force currently serving in Iraq, got in touch to say he was a long standing fan of Otter beer, we immediately had a think to see how we could help boost his unit's morale.

So from Luppitt, via New York and then finally onto Iraq, Derek the Otter is now doing his bit to put a smile on the faces of these courageous chaps as they operate in a strict alcohol free zone.

For the troops who have never tried our beer before, a parcel containing beer towels, coasters and various other Otter paraphernalia hopefully came as a nice surprise and a close second to the real thing.

The unit's motto is "We Never Stop" so maybe Otter Head wouldn't be the best beer for them to celebrate their safe return with!!
