The Veggie Garden

The veggie garden is beginning to happen. Vic's patience has been amazing as David and I change our minds, or perhaps talk through different ideas!!

Here is a photo of the poly tunnels under construction, hopefully they will be filled, and the polythene on in the next month, so with a years trail, next year everything will be good and warm for an early start. The fruit cage is also beginning to happen, what an exciting venture.

I would so appreciate any knowledge from you expert gardeners. I have never used raised beds before, but because of our lack of soil, and poor drainage, we have opted for this idea. Watering is obviously very important, that will be easy for us as the spring overflow runs down the side of the area. I thought I'd collect in a tank so it can warm up a bit. It's so cold straight from the spring.

So here's to the summer and lots of leaves and toms, runners and broad beans, and years to come asparagus and raspberries and cutting flowers. Do hope you all have a chance to come and see it all!
