Cricket's here too

We're into cricket properly now with several games played. I've been up to watch a few, and as they are nice quick games and there's much laughter, I thoroughly enjoy the time out. Nothing like the sound of a cricket ball on willow.

When we first came to Mathayes I planted 6 registered bat willows, one for each of us, and they are some of the tallest willows here. Not sure how old they have to be before they can be used, has any one any idea?

I think the Brewery team is beginning to improve, though the overriding comment is "we must have some net practice before the next game". I hear it at the end of every game! Long may these lovely sunny evenings last so we can appreciate our lovely part of the world.
