Scouting for Otters

Now I know I'm getting older when a group of really good value young'ns turn up after an excited phone call. I was meant to know who they were, and I am ashamed to say I didn't.

Scouting for Girls, it turned out, are great Otter fans, probably both the animal and the beer!

They had been performing in Plymouth the night before and heard about us through the landlord where they were staying.

With not a hangover in sight, we had a great couple of hours with plenty of chat, a lovely bunch of lads who restore any flagging trust in the young today. Also number one on the hit parade in the last couple of weeks I've been told!

What's more they enjoyed the veggie garden which is coming on a treat. I shall go and see them one day, they certainly put a twinkle in this Granny's step!
