Ludlow Beer & Food Festival

Last Friday David and I went to Ludlow because he had been asked to judge beer along with other friends we've met through our time here.

I wasn't allowed through the gates until after the judging was finished, so I had a magic afternoon in Ludlow finding my way through the great range of normal shops. There are no chains in the town at all, just individual shops selling a great range of lovely things and food!

I collected David at tea time, he was freezing as the festival was in a marquee up by the castle, so cold was it that some were saying there was a chill haze on some of the beers, and that's in May! Having poured a pint of hot tea into him, his joints moved and we both went off to explore more of the beautiful country around that area.

Next day we went to the food festival which was just so good. I found a duck stall who were selling nothing but duck and also ducks tongues!! Of course I had to have them as a present for Gus to see what a Chef would do to them!
